Synopsis: “Oscar Wilde's witty comedy centering around two young men, Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff, who use fake identities to evade family duties and chase romance without consequences. Jack, who pursues Algernon's cousin Gwendolen, pretends to be his friend's dissolute brother, Ernest, while Algernon visits Jack's estate under the name Ernest to court Jack's ward, Cecily. The play explores the consequences of their deception and the importance of being earnest in their lives.”
